Concern India Foundation and Support Direct.

A Partnership towards Positive Sustained Growth.

Concern India Foundation aims to reach out to the underprivileged in the best possible way and work towards making a positive change in their lives.

For development to be effective it needs to be sustained. To meet its long-term commitments, Concern India Foundation must reach out to more and more people.

Concern India Foundation has outsourced a part of its resource mobilization programme through Support Direct (India) Pvt. Ltd - a professional agency adept at reaching out to individuals at all levels and appealing to their philanthropic sense through face to face interaction. As the representation is free, funds are raised without risk and at a lower cost than conventional methods, therefore maximizing support to the most vulnerable people of society. Support Direct is only compensated if support is generated. Our partnership with Support Direct (India) Pvt. Ltd. has helped us reach a wider and more varied audience.

It is also through face-to-face interviews that more people have become aware about the causes and issues that we support - destitute and/or orphaned children, deserted and/or abused women, tribals, the disabled, the aged and the environment. Awareness about our activities and our goals has grown. This method has also made the process of donation simpler - all a donor has to do is write out a cheque and hand it over to the representative. It must be noted that there are NO CASH transactions at all.

Concern India Foundation constantly analyses the data that is collected from face-to- face interviews and is able to gauge donor patterns and attitudes. "For example", says Kavita Shah, CEO of Concern India Foundation "we have found that support for education of a child is less difficult to get than support for the aged or the tribals. This information is invaluable to us since addressing the issues of the tribals or the aged is as intrinsic as the other issues that we support. Access to information of this type gives us the opportunity to modify and use alternate methods to raise funds."

Concern India Foundation with Support Direct fulfills our aim of helping people help themselves, thereby creating a society of individuals living a life of dignity and independence.
