Both KITSCH and BLING refer to a current style of ornamentation on anything at all from art to cars and buildings to apparel and jewellery.

BLING..... refers to the imaginary "sound" that is produced from light reflected by diamonds. Originally Jamaican slang, it has come into use in popular culture.... referring to the flash and sparkle of sequins, crystal, coloured stones etc. on clothes, jewellery....

KITSCH... pronounced <kich>.... is all about classic clothing with something very different and often hybrid, added into the mixture of design. Whether it's clashing colours of unusual shapes and angles; Kitsch always has a sly obscurity to the design. A contemporary Kitsch style would have to be practically the same as the original style, but, jazzed up a little more making it brighter, glittery and more funky. Yet, not deviating from the edge of class.
